Said Bookisms


I don’t know who penned the above, but it is pretty much the exact opposite of what you’re supposed to write. As any writer should tell you, ‘said’ is invisible and should be used in most circumstances. It doesn’t feel right to be so repetitive with one word though, which is probably why many new writers dive into ‘said bookisms’ so readily.
